The speaker is Tris Prior. The person she’s talking to is a member of dauntless who Tris has never really gotten along with. I will have to look up the name when i get home tonight.

That’s actually what i meant. Maybe narrator is a better word? Anyhow, the person giving Tris the compliment is a member of dauntless. Sadly i still do not remember the name. More later!

Two paragraphs before this quote, Lynn says: “No matter how long you train someone to be brave, you never know if they are or not until something real happens.”

Hmmm. I don’t own these books. I checked them out of the local library many months ago. With the movie coming out, all copies are currently in the hands of other people. (sigh) Ah well. I placed a copy on hold. When I get my grubby little (virtual) hands on it, i will verify.
